Our Ballroom is beautiful and elegant, the perfect venue for many types of your memorable special events

including wedding receptions, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, birthdays, graduation parties, showers, recitals, small ensemble performances, anniversaries and other celebrations!

Yes, Galaxy does rent out the Grand Ballroom and supporting rooms for all kinds of special events and life celebrations!  With nearly 2000 square feet, this venue has room to seat over 140 people.  Included is a collapsible performance stage for band or guests-of-honor; dimmable lighting, disco lighting; professionally engineered and installed sound system; and the best dancing floor in Texas!  There is FREE parking for a hundred of guests' vehicles, nearby and off road!  Completing your needs for an additional cost are tables ($5 each) and chairs ($.50 each).  Adjoining studios are also available for additional needs, such clothes-changing areas or catering food, for the rents listed in Studio Rental Information.

   Sunday through Friday  $70 per hour

   Saturday  $85 per hour

 Galaxy Wedding Dance Packages

First 45 minute consultation:  $40
Includes a review of your song(s) and introduction to the dance style that it represents.  You will be dancing during your first lesson, so the instructor can determine your dance level, and then sit down to discuss your wedding theme, floor space, dress style, and vision for your first dance.  Your instructor will create a wedding routine based on your demonstrated level and information provided in your consultation.
 
Packages:
First Dance: Five one-hour private lessons designed to teach and polish a simple routine for your first dance.  Private lessons include 50 minutes of dancing and a consultation at the end of each lesson to answer questions and review material.  Your wedding routine will be ready at the beginning of your first lesson, with choreography created specifically for you as a couple.  $325
 
Combo: First Dance & Father/Daughter Dance:  Five one-hour private lessons with choreography for the bride and groom's first dance, plus a 30-minute introductory consultation and two one-hour private lessons for the Father/Daughter dance.  $480
 
Private Lessons vs. Group Lessons
Group lessons are designed to teach figures and introduce you to basic techniques.  In group classes you will "learn the feet," that is, develop an understanding of the foot movements used in different patterns.  In addition, we occasionally offer bonus workshops on technical elements like Cuban hip motion and American Smooth footwork.  
 
Private lessons are designed to perfect the movements you learn in group classes and cover elements such as frame, poise, footwork, lead initiation, weight transfer, and kinesiology (moving through space).

Private Lesson Rate:  $70 an hour (Save over 10% when you purchase a package of 5 lessons or more)

A minimum of 5 Lessons is suggested.

Instructor Biography:
Madison McWilliams* is a competitive styling coach for American Smooth ballroom and a member of the United Country/Western Dance Council, the premier competitive circuit for C/W ballroom and a national dance standards governing board.  She specializes in wedding choreography and has trained youth ballroom formation teams throughout Central Texas.  Madison teaches beginner through advanced partnership dance for kids, adults, and seniors in Tango, Waltz, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Foxtrot, Swing and more.  She is a popular choreographer and teacher for educational programs and recently finished training the cast of Stratford High School's ballroom ensemble for their upcoming senior musical, Steel Pier.
